What are the parts of the car – Encyclopedia

Find out what auto parts are through this article. Many of us are unaware of the nature of auto parts and how they work. Which causes him to stand in front of the accident in his car not knowing the best way to fix the malfunction; Cars have many parts which can be confusing to many; Therefore, today’s encyclopedia explained the parts of the car in a simple way.

What are the parts of a car?

Learn more about car parts below.

Explanation of car components for beginners

cylinder head

It is the part that is in the upper part of the engine of the car, and is installed on the (engine block), which is another lower part, and therefore the cylinder is the engine cover, and through it the air and fuel enter the engine and the car’s exhaust exits through this part, and valves can also be installed, as well as the parts for the fuel supply and the part for the combustion boxes.

Engine block

It is responsible for the combustion process of fuel with air in the engine; To generate power, this part was designed with cylinder-shaped holes for installing pistons.

The pistons are connected to the “crankshaft” and the energy of motion is transferred from the reciprocating form to the rotating form; move the wheels of the car.

The engine block contains internal quarters, ducts; It works to pass fluids through it to reduce engine temperature and to prevent friction between other parts.

Piston

It is a cylindrical piece of metal that puts pressure on the fuel and air inside the car engine. for the combustion process to occur; supplying the motor with kinetic energy; it moves towards the crankshaft, then rises; expelling the exhaust gases resulting from the combustion process out of the engine, and this function is repeated several times throughout the day.

connecting rod

It is the part inside the engine, through which the piston is attached to the crankshaft. It also works to convert the piston’s reciprocating motion into rotational motion emanating from the crankshaft, and this motion spreads to all of the car’s tires and sets them in motion.

crankshaft

connects to a large number of vehicle parts; It functions to receive the reciprocating motion of the piston through the dedicated connecting rod and then converts it into rotational motion, and it is characterized as non-straight.

piston ring (Piston ring)

This is an incomplete metal circle that is installed in the intended place in the piston and strongly connects the piston and the body with the car engine. It prevents oil and gas leaks and cools the piston by transferring heat from the piston to the car engine, and also works to push fluids used for lubrication.

piston liner (cylinder liner)

It is a cylindrical metal part, which is fixed in the cylindrical hole in which the piston can move, and works on the movement of the piston, and it is a polished part to prevent friction.

piston pin (stud pin)

A small, solid cylindrical piece of metal that connects the piston to the connecting rod, while maintaining agility without loosening the parts.

Sabbath (valves)

These are metal parts that allow or prevent the movement of fuel and gases when entering and exiting the engine and are installed in the (cylinder head).

camshaft (camshaft)

It is a metal column on which are installed irregularly shaped metal cylinders which, during its rotation, work to move the valves up and down.

catina gear (cam wheel)

It’s a metal gear that connects to the camshaft, and is also connected to another gear in the crankshaft to connect them.

Headband (head gasket)

It is a metal sheet that prevents oil and water from leaking into the combustion chamber of the engine and preventing their leaking outside the engine.

Oil pan (oil pan)

It is a metal basin in which engine oil is collected and stored.

air mixing toolCarburetor)

This part mixes the air entering the engine with the fuel in certain proportions.

flying (Flying)

It is part of the engine and is connected to the crankshaft, and functions to transmit motion from the crankshaft, to the gears, then to the car tires, and also functions to regulate the kinetic energy emitted by the car engine.

Clutch disc (Clutch disc)

It is a cylinder (the clutch) connected to an axle which transmits the movement of the flywheel to the gears, and it is a separate part of the flywheel.

pressure disc ( pressure plate)

This part presses the cylinder against the clutch by means of the pedal; It works to balance the rotational motion of the flywheel and the clutch.

gearbox (Gearbox)

(Fatis) The gear is connected to the engine via the flywheel and the clutch, transmits motion to the tires of the car, and controls the speed and rotational force of the tires via specifically tuned gears.

deductible (Differential)

It is a device which receives the movement of the shaft support, and transmits it to the coupling piece, which transmits the movement to the tires, and also allows the tires to rotate at different speeds depending on the nature of the road.

spear support (Cardan shaft Drive shaft Drive shaft)

This part transmits the rotational force and connects two non-parallel components to a connecting shaft.

conjugation piece (Coupling)

It transmits the movement of the gearbox to the tires of the car and allows the smooth movement of the wheels.

Lighter (spark plug)

It is an electrical device that passes a strong electric current between the two electrodes. a spark occurs between them; The combustion process begins in the engine and the spark plug is installed in the (cylinder head).

Ignition coil (Ignition coil)

An electrical device consisting of a magnetic coil which raises the electric voltage of the battery (12 volts) to (30 volts); The battery helps generate the spark for combustion.

distributer (Distributer)

an electric device that distributes electric current from the ignition coil to the lighters at specified times; To precisely support the fuel combustion process in the engine, by adjusting the appropriate timing of the cam connected to the crankshaft.

starter (entrance)

This is an electric motor powered by the car’s battery that gives the engine the first batch of power to run by spinning the flywheel connected to the crankshaft, moving the pistons and starting the combustion process.

alternator (Alternator)

It is an electrical generator that connects to the crankshaft and generates the energy needed to charge the car battery and all parts that require electricity.

radiator ( radiator)

It works to cool fluids in the car by passing them through the cylinder network.
